Breaches
Beirut, 2009-2010
Portrait of a wounded generation, swept into the turmoil of a country whose identity is under construction.
I grew up in Beirut. From age 11 to 16, my experience there was complex and my last year traumatic enough on a interpersonal level that i didn't go back there for nine years. When i returned, i reunited with long lost friends, and decided i wanted to talk about this inner story, one that could be universal but that is in fact very specific to beirut's youth. The relationship with war, always present in a way.
